A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Belinda and I love to work with people who need and want to feel healthier and move better.

As a physio, I'm fascinated in how the body moves and what makes us more efficient and unencumbered.

What makes me different?

I provide a mobile physiotherapy service

I come to you when you can’t come to me, for example;

  • post surgery,

  • post natal

  • no car

  • young children at home

  • time constraints

Focus on Self Management

I don't want to be treating you continually for months! I want to educate you on techniques and self management strategies so you can help yourself as much as possible. Growing stronger through strategies we develop and seeing me when you feel the need.

I am an outcomes driven professional

What I would love to achieve is a reduction in pain and the clarity of what is happening to your body and why.
I will educate you on the pathology, why it is hurting, what can be done about it, how long it will take to heal. And I will outline the prospect for future recovery and how you can self manage.

Evidence Based Practice

I pride myself in practicing physiotherapy techniques that have been proven in clinical research to be best practise. I keep up to date with current research and new techniques as much as possible to provide the best possible treatment for you.

Why I love Physiotherapy

I was exposed to physiotherapy at a young age by family friends who practiced which started my fascination in how the body works and how everything integrates and meshes to provide the highly functioning human body. I love having that contact with people on a daily basis, providing relief and seeing people improve in their daily function. I believe movement heals.

I studied ballet all through my childhood and it is my passion! If I couldn't be a professional dancer then I needed to incorporate dance into my life somehow. Physiotherapy is a way I get my fix of everything dance and people.

I am a Mobile Physiotherapist which means I come to your home

Upon making the appointment I will ask for your contact details and of course address. I will also do a quick risk assessment to see if there are any animals on the property, any special instruction for entry onto the premises and anything else that needs addressing to ensure safety of both myself and you, my client, during the appointment.

I use my clinical judgement as to what provisions I need to bring for the session, such as tables, creams, tapes etc. We will make good use of the home space using beds, chairs or floor space in your home as needed. It also enables us to personalise any exercises that are given, to suit your space.

Or you can come to my private treatment room

If you choose, I have treatment rooms at my home office in Thorneside. This space is where I have a treatment table, interview table and chairs, equipment shelf, hand washing basin, hot and cold storage. Off street parking is available at the front of the property.

A separate Clinical Pilates room is a spacious area with equipment set up and additional floor space for Mat Pilates. There are plenty of mirrors to check your technique, fans to cool you down and music of your choice to make your Pilates training both challenging and fun.

Lets work together to address your pain and empower you with the tools to manage your health.

Your goals are my goals!
